Embark on an exhilarating Saharan mountain biking adventure with a journey that begins in Marrakech. On Day 1, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to a hotel or Riad in the heart of the Medina. The subsequent days take you through diverse landscapes, from the arid slopes near Ghessat to the valleys and Berber villages, culminating in the challenging crossing of Djebel Saghro. Experience the contrast of mineral atmospheres and lush oases as you pedal through the majestic Jebel Saghro. The adventure continues along the Wadi Draa, exploring Kasbahs and fortified desert villages. The final leg brings you back to Marrakech, where you’ll have a day for sightseeing before concluding the trip.
Day 1: Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, your guide will welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation in the vibrant Medina.
Day 2: Marrakech to Toundout Embark on a 210 km journey, exploring the southern slope’s arid landscapes, preparing bikes near Ghessat, and pedaling through a rolling track to reach the Imeghrane valley. Enjoy dinner and overnight at a Berber house in Toundout.
Day 3: Toundout to Ait Yul Climb gradually through valleys, traverse high plateaus, and navigate superb gorges. Pedal eastward towards the Dades valley, with dinner and overnight at kasbah-didis.
Day 4: Boumalen Dades to Djebel Saghro Descend the Dades valley in the morning, followed by a crossing of Djebel Saghro, offering magnificent views of the High Atlas. Dinner and overnight at a Berber house.
Day 5: Djebel Saghro to Tansikht village Explore the wildest part of Jebel Saghro, descending to the Draa valley and ending the day near Tansikht at a mobile camp.
Day 6: Tansikht to Tissergate Ride along the Wadi Draa’s left bank, passing lush oases and discovering Kasbahs. Conclude the stage at Ksar Tissergate, enjoying dinner and overnight at a kasbah overlooking the oasis.
Day 7: Tissergate to Marrakech Head towards Zagora, pass through Agdez, and traverse the Tizi n’Tichka pass to reach Marrakech. Overnight at a Riad in the Medina.
Day 8: Marrakech Sightseeing Explore Marrakech’s highlights, including the Koutoubia minaret, Djemaa el-Fna square, Bahia Palace, Saadian tombs, and more.
Day 9: Departure from Marrakech Depending on your flight time, transfer to Marrakech airport for your return flight.
